VinMole is a free VIN decoder and vehicle report tool that draws entirely on public federal data — the NHTSA vPIC database, recall campaigns, consumer complaints, NCAP crash ratings, and EPA fuel economy figures. Enter a 17-character VIN and get an instant, structured report with no account, no credit, and no charge.

Privacy by design: VIN checksum validation runs in your browser, and session-cached results are never stored on a server beyond the request that fetched them. VinMole queries public government APIs on your behalf and presents the results; it does not build profiles or sell data. The site is supported by display advertising.
