Privacy Policy
Data Privacy
VinMole looks up public-domain federal vehicle data (VINs, recalls, complaints, NCAP ratings, EPA fuel economy) from NHTSA and other government databases. All data lookups and processing happen on our servers, but we do not store your search history or results.
VIN lookups return publicly available government data. We do not sell, share, or use this information for anything other than displaying your requested vehicle report. Each lookup is processed independently without building a profile of your searches.
Data Retention
We do not retain VIN lookups, search history, or generated reports. Each request is ephemeral — your vehicle reports are generated on demand and not archived. Server logs may contain standard HTTP information (IP address, browser type, access time) for infrastructure monitoring and are not used for tracking or profiling.

NHTSA Data Disclaimer
VinMole aggregates data from public NHTSA sources (vPIC, recalls, complaints, NCAP crash ratings, EPA fuel economy). Recall campaigns shown are at the make/model/year level — not per-VIN unrepaired status.Always verify your specific VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls for current unrepaired recall status.
